Join the Boise Ridge Riders
To become a member of the Boise Ridge Riders, you will need to apply. You can apply in writing or verbally at one of the club meetings. Your membership application to become a "prospective" member must include a one time, non-refundable $25 membership application fee given to the BRR treasurer. The application merely needs to state, "I wish to become a member of the Boise Ridge Riders". You will then be given Prospective Member status and added to our membership roster as such. To gain full membership status, the "prospective" member then must assist in the Idaho City ISDE Qualifier, including preparation and cleanup.
The club members will review your application at the club meeting immediately after the event and will vote to approve or deny full membership. You cannot be voted in as a "full" member until you have worked one of our Idaho City 100 ISDE Qualifier events.
There are no age, sex, race, or other restrictions on becoming a member of the Boise Ridge Riders. You don't even have to know how to ride a motorcycle. We are looking for people who are interested in trail maintenance work, who enjoy being outdoors (regardless of the weather) and who enjoy camping.
Once you become a member, you are a member for life. There are no yearly membership renewal fees or any other fees imposed on members. You may ask to be removed from the active membership at any time, no questions asked. You will then be added to our inactive roster. Active membership can be re-instated at any time at the request of the inactive member. There are benefits to being a Boise Ridge Rider.
Your benefits include:
- Voting rights at club meetings
- Right to become an officer of the club
- Right to become the Clerk of Course or Loop Captain for the ISDE Qualifier
- Obtain and wear a club jacket (you pay for the jacket)
- Receive club fliers and newsletters
- Receive club promotional items (sometimes donated by sponsors) or at cost (hats, jerseys, etc.)
